Eagle Brewery

Located in Bedford, our Eagle Brewery embraces different perspectives. It means that while others may move cautiously, we soar fearlessly. Like the eagle that looks over our brewery, we take a different view.

The brewery site itself has a rich history rooted in the community and once housed the local football stadium, home to the Bedford Eagles football team. Most notably, though, is the area where the Visitor Centre is now located - originally the site of ‘Co-Partners Hall’, and home to the Glenn Miller Orchestra. It was to be the last place that Glenn Miller ever played – a concert for the American and British troops in WW2, before departing from a nearby airfield and famously disappearing during a flight to France.

Officially opened as the Eagle Brewery on 18 May 1976 by the Duke of Gloucester, the brewing facility originally formed part of the Charles Wells’ estate. As well as a portfolio of much-loved Eagle branded beers, the brewery also boasts exclusive contracts to brew some of the most popular names in the industry.
