Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company (CMBC) highlights why we should be celebrating Cask Ale Week and protecting the future of a great British classic.
Today marks the start of Cask Ale Week, a time to celebrate a unique British brew, best enjoyed in our beloved pub. Cask Ale merges traditional brewing techniques – perfected over hundreds of years – with modern brewing methods to produce a quality and flavoursome pint.
This year it is more important than ever to support Cask Ale which has been massively impacted due to the closure of pubs due to the Covid-19 pandemic:
CMBC produces a range of Cask Ales for everyone to enjoy, with notable brands including Hobgoblin, Pedigree, Marston’s 61 Deep, Wainwright, Banks’s and Tetley’s Original Cask.
Emma Gilleland, Director of Brewing at CMBC, comments: “As a beer central to our brewing heritage that sets British beer apart from the rest of the world, the importance of championing cask ale has never been greater. Cask-conditioned ale is not just something that can be packaged up and sold in a supermarket or get delivered to your door. No, the only place you can get a real cask-conditioned beer is in a pub. That’s why we are urging beer lovers to visit their local this Cask Ale Week and try it for themselves.”
